By asking questions beforehand, during and after construction has begun on any projects involving work in\/around homes &#8211; clients can assure themselves as well knowing what plan will go into action if things go wrong so there are no surprises down the road.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A big leap involves putting our most precious asset at risk: Ourselves! We want this process from start (or end) run smoothly without error which means taking time to think about the questions you should ask your handyman before the work begins.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<h3><strong>Before you hire:<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Have you ever done this type of work before?<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Are you licensed? What kind of insurance do you have?<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Can I see some photographs of similar projects you\u2019ve done?<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do you have any references?<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Are there any problems that might come up with this kind of work?<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What is the procedure if we don\u2019t agree on a change or added expense?<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Will you be working on the project alone, or do you have partners or employees?<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Will you provide a written timeline and estimate?<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How do you accept payment, and what is the structure of the payments?<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do you offer a guarantee on your work?<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3><strong>During the job:<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What do you need from me to ensure a smooth job?<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If something unexpected happens during the project:<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How will this be fixed? What additional costs are expected?<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(If the problem seems outside handyman\u2019s expertise) Should I schedule an additional professional to come out, or will you handle that?<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3><strong>After the work is complete:<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Where would you like to leave your feedback? (Handymen know how important this question is and will be thrilled that we asked.
